My name is Renee Taylor.
I’m originally from the beer and bicycling mecca of Asheville NC. For three years, from 2017 until COVID, I travelled full-time in my van with my partner Kate and our two pups. In 2020, we bought five acres just north of Taos NM, built our tiny home, and started our farm, Persimmon Moon.
When I was a kid, I dreamed of being a rock star. My favorite thing was belting out Elvis tunes in homemade sequined jumpsuits my grandma lovingly crafted.
But instead I became an accountant. Despite not being born a "numbers person,” I stumbled upon a hidden talent for financial analysis in my various jobs as a young adult. I had a real knack for it, and soon developed a genuine passion for crunching numbers and crafting spreadsheets.
I’ve worn many hats in my three decades of small business experience — as a cost accountant at a boutique manufacturing firm, to navigating the stock market as a junior broker, to managing a bustling grocery co-op with $4 million in annual sales and a team of forty employees.
Ultimately though, I knew I had to work for myself, and since 2010, I’ve been at the helm of my own CPA firm, charting a course for my clients' financial success right from day one.
